On the last day of 2010, I sat down at a microphone as a man named Youngblood Holden and recorded the first episode of a program that had no business existing. It was called the BOB Show. My co-host was Bob Dobbs, a media scholar and the nearest living heir to Marshall McLuhan, a man the theorist Donald Theall once called "the new McLuhan."
